It was called 'SFnal 2021', a compilation of short stories written by various authors. I've read the very first bit so far, written by Ken Liu, Ted Chiang and Greg Egan. They were.... a bit darker than I expected. Especially Ken Liu's one. They were stories about all kinds of real-life events that might happen in real life (shootings, deepfakes, people hiding behind anonymity and disparaging others, etc.), but as I read them, I found that they were quite ... Despite the shock, I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was fun, but after reading about 3 episodes, I ran out of strength (I woke up early today and was a little tired), so I closed the book and returned home.

I think... they beat the consensus, because they are all on the green side today. I hope Google and Microsoft does well too. And I was waiting for Spotify to miss, but they are now up 5%. Dammit...   [Link to Opensea] I'm living a really repeatable life at the moment, and feeling pretty satisfied about it as well, but I'm also kind of worried that this type of lifestyle may not be sustainable. Will I be able to live just by doing things I like? Or do I have to face things I do not like doing to earn money and live independently? JP Morgan's earnings stated that banks were going to be okay. Now this week, we have lots of semiconductor related stocks (ASML, LAM, TSMC, etc.) and some super popular growth stocks like Tesla and Netflix. If they deliver less than expected, I think the market could turn bearish. On the other hand, if they deliver good results, it might be a confirmation of a new bull market - even if it is transitory. As an investor who invested quite a bit (75%) of my portfolio in stocks, I do hope that they deliver excellent earnings report.

I'm amazed by the ideas of each and every story I've read so far. They are mesmerizing, but at the same time, terrifying. It shows how our future might be in the most... eerie, dystopian way possible. It seems like a physically great place to live, but morally, there can't be a worse place than these virtual worlds. People use their wombs to store brains of dead people, send a deterministic future email to previous selves, rewire their neurons to their will, and make a brain replica that replaces themselves at the age of 30. If we do not care about the philosophical terms, this world might be a better version of the current humankind world, but when we think about how we define us, it gets complicated super fast. It's quite hard, frankly, since I do live on a very repetitive cycle. Barely anything changes apart from what I read and watch. I just wish I had more time. But again, even if I did have more time, I think I would waste most of the time doing frivolous stuff - such as watching youtube speedrun videos. Once I watched a video about time not being continuous, but rather, it can be expressed as a 2-dimensional coordinate. I did write a quite long diary in Naver blog today, so I think I will skip writing things here! 😁 Today I wrote a very specific timeline for today, to find out what I do everyday. I thought I was doing things in a very unproductive way, so I decided to actually record what I did every 30 minutes. so... The result was actually better than I expected. I thought I was wasting my time on very frivolous things, but thankfully, I was doing better than what I was thinking I was doing. I read a book today(though I read for like 10 mins only), went out to walk, read a light novel, read Deloitte's Tech Trends 2023, played league of legends with a friend. Now I'm planning to play Overwatch 2 with my friends. TGIF, I don't play games this often... Really.

  [Link to Opensea] I feel pretty alright today. I do feel the occasional tiredness, but apart from that, I feel a lot better compared to yesterday. No headaches, no troublesome stomach. I can eat what I want freely. But, just in case, I need to be cautious. I think the physical condition(I went hiking right before feeling bad) + drinking zero coke regularly + eating too much than I anticipated made this... undesirable event. After all, all that's left is my health in the end.
